My Name is
Biruk
Biruk
Biruk was eighteen months old when his mother died. He then moved in with his aunt. She worked as a housemaid and had to take Biruk to work with her. She eventually lost her job and had no means to provide for Biruk. Social Welfare contacted the Rafiki Foundation on his behalf. Biruk arrived at the Rafiki Village Ethiopia and began to be nourished both physically and spiritually. Biruk now enjoys helping others. He likes the story in the Bible about the lame man being healed because it reminds him to follow Jesus, who is merciful and powerful. Biruk's favorite hymn is "Trust and Obey."
